The concept of Web 2.0 is essentially the idea that the online world is a dynamic and interactive place, brimming with knowledge to be shared and relationships to be made.
It's ALL about the conversation!
My original blog was designed around a traditional concept of posting just about MY "personal" thoughts and experiences, along with an amalgamation of other interesting news stories and blog posts that I came across.
The problem with that blogging concept is that it's very limiting in its scope. Or as the Captain might have said:
"What we got here is . . .failure to collaborate."
My goal is to CHANGE the way Appraisal Scoop works. I want Appraisal Scoop to become a true conversation and collaboration tool by:
Promoting Guest Author generated content (articles)
Gathering members’ feedback (comments)
Developing and exploring new ideas, technologies, concepts
READ ON . . .
To that end I've begun inviting open, honest, and forward-looking Guest Authors to join me in this effort. The current Guest Author list is on the left side of this page. Brooke Long (web technology-marketing) and Ken Verrett (business management) have already tested the waters on Appraisal Scoop and I'm looking forward to their future insights.
Online technologies like blogging, podcasting, comments, Wikis and RSS feeds, pave this two-way street of communication and provide the real property appraisal profession with tools to expand our awareness and increase activity and excitement among the online visitors.
JOIN IN THE FUN! If you see a blog post that interests YOU, be sure to add your comments. As time goes on, we'll be adding additional features to this blog including photos, polls, and maybe even a podcast?
