This is the FIRST of my WDYDTYMT*   (What Did You Do To Your Mini Today?).   I got a chance to play with Paddy on Sunday, finally installing some of the bits 'n pieces that were Christmas presents.

Why Is The Mini Such A Good [Great] Car?

This poetic post from The Mini Forum by MiniMarco really struck a chord with me -

It was born of an optimist and innovator.

It was the little car that can, a bright promise that was uncommonly actualized.

It represents rebelliousness, having beaten the authorities in motor racing.

It is impatient like a dog on a leash being taken for a walk every time you take it around a corner.

But it is great because it is flawed. It reminds us of ourselves. If it was not, it would not be capable of capturing the hearts of man for generations.
